St Olave's Prep School, New Eltham, London 2008
In 2008 Sarah project managed a second commission at St Olave's Prep School. In
celebration of the school's 75th anniversary this wall hung painting measuring 6 feet by 8 feet
was created as a school community project. The images in the mural derive from drawings by
pupils in the school woven into a 'folk art' design centred around a waltnut tree which grows in
the school playground. All pupils in the school who are aged 3-11, participated in the creation
of the finished piece, with additional contributions from teachers and parent volunteers.
Following design and consultation, the project took place in the school during a 6 week
period. A small grant secured from a local DIY store provided some of the materials.
'I would gladly let Sarah manage another such project in the future and highly
recommend her work' - Head Teacher, St Olave's Prep School
